Emergency calls

Calling emergency numbers such as fire, police and medical?

Updated this week

If you've got Rogervoice to make phone calls, congratulations. Can you call EVERY number with Rogervoice? Almost!

Can I call emergency services with Rogervoice? Rogervoice provides limited emergency calling capabilities depending on your location. Because Rogervoice relies on the internet, it is not a full replacement for a traditional telephone line.

🇺🇸 United States (911)

Rogervoice is fully compatible with e911 services for eligible TRS customers to IP CTS services. When you dial 911, emergency services need to know your location to help you quickly. You have two options:

  • Automatic Location: Enable geolocation in the app settings (recommended for speed and precision).

  • Registered Address: Manually enter your address in the app settings. Important: You must update this address every time you change locations.

🇫🇷 France (114)

For users in France, emergency services are accessible via the 114 service (the national relay for deaf and hard of hearing people). Rogervoice facilitates access to this specialized service.

🌍 Rest of the World

Currently, Rogervoice cannot place calls to emergency short-codes (like 999, 112, etc.) or premium rate numbers in other countries.

What to do if emergency calling is not available in your country?

  • Keep a traditional landline or mobile line available for emergencies.

  • Ask a trusted person nearby to dial the emergency number for you.

We are working hard to expand our emergency call partnerships to more countries soon.

Have a good day.
